We're excited to announce that Levain now fully supports the Polygon network, including its Mainnet and Mumbai Testnet. Polygon is a Layer 2 scaling solution designed to bring enhanced capabilities to the Ethereum blockchain. By leveraging Polygon, transactions can be processed in a more efficient and cost-effective manner, making it an ideal choice for businesses looking to get into Ethereum Layer 2 blockchains. This is particularly advantageous for enterprise-level operations, where transaction efficiency and cost is paramount.
Signing as smart contract wallets with EIP-1271
Levain Wallets created from today onwards will come with built-in support for EIP-1271, a standard that revolutionizes how smart contract signatures are verified on the Ethereum network. Unlike traditional wallets, smart contract wallets don't have a "secret" that can be used for signature generation. New Levain Wallets are now EIP-1271 compatible. Note that while EIP-1271 brings a new layer of flexibility and security to contract-based operations, not all decentralized applications (dApps) currently support this standard on their frontends.
